Even though it's Spring Break, many SouthCoast teams are in action this week for baseball, softball, lacrosse, tennis, volleyball and track.

Here's a look at the scores and highlights for SouthCoast teams from April 15-21.

Tuesday, April 16

SOFTBALL

Bishop Stang 2, Apponequet 1: Bishop Stang’s defense rose to the occasion with Apponequet having the bases loaded and no outs in the top of the fifth inning and down by one run. Sophia Brousseau caught a line drive and then threw to third for the second out. Katie Manzone got the last out on a groundout to end the inning. Manzone went 1-for-3 while Avery Clough was 1-for-2. Ava Texeira was 1-for-2 with a triple and a run scored. Kistyn Mello had an RBI sacrifice bunt. Alaina Chasse pitched seven innings, allowing seven hits with four strikeouts for Stang (2-3, 1-1 CCL). For Apponequet (2-2), Eva Zuber went 2-for-3 with a home run. Sarah DelVecchio pitched four innings, allowing two runs (one earned) off three hits and one walk while striking out six. Lauren Bernaiche pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit and one walk with five strikeouts.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Bedford 3, Catholic Memorial 0: Carter Barbosa had 21 assists for the undefeated Whalers (6-0, 1-0 SEC) while Abner Cun added seven. Juan Grau Montano had nine kills while Nick Rosa chipped in with four kills and eight aces. Davon Centeio had 14 digs and Brooklyn Rodrigues added 11.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Falmouth 13, Dartmouth 10: Grace Haskell had six goals and one assist for Dartmouth (1-4, 1-0 SEC) while Sarah Kelly added four goals and Makai Vincent had two assists.

BASEBALL

Dartmouth 5, Bridgewater-Raynham 1: Ian Rego got the win on the mound for Dartmouth (4-0) as he went six innings, allowing no runs on three hits with five strikeouts in the first round of the Plymouth North tournament. Brady Beauparland pitched the seventh inning in relief. Madden Ollila went 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Tom Quinn and Donovan Burgo each had a hit and RBI.

Monday, April 15

BASEBALL

Bishop Stang 7, Fairhaven 6: With one out, pinch hitter Nate Moniz had a walk-off ground-rule double in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Bishop Stang (1-4, 0-2 CCL) its first win of the season. Matt Burt was the winning pitcher, allowing no runs on one hit with one strikeout in one inning. Nicholas Nasiff started the game for Bishop Stang and allowed four earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four over three innings. Moniz had two RBIs while Drew Taylor went 1-for-1 with two walks and two runs scored and Seamus Keller was 1-for-3 with a walk and RBI. For Fairhaven, Colby Correia was 2-for-3 with four RBIs while Chace Feno went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Scott Joseph was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Jay Perry pitched four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six.

Old Rochester 4, Wareham 1: Ben Wesoly got the win for ORR (2-3), allowing one hit with five strikeouts over four innings. Finn Kavanaugh picked up the save. Colin Mello went 2-for-3 with a triple while Kavanaugh was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Malcolm Bean had a triple while Wesoly had a double.

Bristol-Plymouth 11, Old Colony 2: Colin Monahan went 2-for-3 with a triple and run scored while Dylan Mendez was 2-for-2 with a walk and RBI for Old Colony (2-2, 1-0 MAC). Collin Tetrault went 2-for-3 with a run scored while Aiden Deree was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

SOFTBALL

Dartmouth 7, Fairhaven 1: Megan Arruda went the distance for Dartmouth (2-4), striking out 11 batters. Paige Martins was 3-for-3 with two runs scored while Abigail Lancaster, Jillian Dubois and Hannah Garcia (RBI) each went 2-for-4. Olivia Rapoza was 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Desirae Paiva and Sarah Cabral each had an RBI. For Fairhaven (2-3), Sydney Merusi went 2-for-3 with a double and triple while Kaia Furtado was 2-for-3 with two doubles. Kennedy Allain was 1-for-2.

Wareham 16, Old Rochester 7: Madison Nereu pitched seven innings for Wareham (4-2), allowing four earned runs off seven hits with 12 strikeouts. She also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and four runs scored. Jolee Anderson was 4-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs while Olivia LaCava went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and three runs scored. Savannah Varden was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Emily Brundage was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Samantha Purcell was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored.For ORR (3-3, 1-0 SCC), Madison Mello had 10 strikeouts and went 2-for-4 at the plate. Hannah Mansfield was 2-for-4 with a two-run double. Alex Fiano was 3-for-4 with two singles and a double.

Bridgewater-Raynham 5, GNB Voc-Tech 4: Genesis Nunes went 2-for-3 with a walk, RBI and run scored for the Bears (2-1). Zoe Texeira was 1-for-3 with two RBIs while Alexia Tsonis was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Ana Tsonis went the distance on the mound, giving up five runs (three earned) on 11 hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

Somerset Berkley 8, New Bedford 4: Hayleigh Chenard allowed eight runs on 11 hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Ivy Mattos had a three-run home run and a single to lead the Whalers (1-2) on offense. Belle Almeida added a single and a double.

GIRLS LACROSSE

New Bedford 7, Fairhaven 5: The Whalers (3-3) got redemption from their 10-1 loss earlier this season to Fairhaven thanks to two goals apiece from Audrey Sousa (assist) and Jaliyah Perry. Zaria Anderson, Violet Lopes and Hannah Blanchard scored one goal apiece while Caitlyn Cordeiro had two assists. Anette Bennett-Tucker made seven saves. For Fairhaven (4-2, 1-0 SCC), Sophia Fleurent and Christina Pimentel each had two goals while Meg Powers added one.

GNB Voc-Tech 8, Old Colony 6: For Old Colony (2-2, 2-1 MAC), Abby Pitts had four goals while Maddie Caulkins and Addi Tyler each scored once. Jayleana Fernandes made seven saves.

BOYS LACROSSE

Dartmouth 15, Dennis Yarmouth 4: Lennox Massucco led Dartmouth with five goals and two assists while Jackson Hart had four goals and two assists. Jack Howart scored twice while Jacob Anuzyck (assist), Ray Gramlich (two assist), Jacob Grieve and Chance Simmons each scored once.

GNB Voc-Tech 16, New Bedford 6: Kevin O’Brian had five goals and three assists and went 16 of 20 on faceoffs to power the Bears (1-2) to their first win of the season. Nathan Pearson had nine goals and four assists while Nick Boucher added one goal and two assists. Noah Tavares recorded his first varsity goal. Robert Fortes made eight saves.

Fairhaven 6, Oliver Ames 5: Cam Burke had two goals while Will Foster caused three turnovers and had four ground balls for Fairhaven (4-1).

GIRLS TENNIS

Wareham 5, Mashpee 0: The Vikings (5-0, 1-0 MAC) got singles wins from No. 1 Booklyn Bindas, No. 2 Julia McDuffy and No. 3 Stoney Ferry.
